As its principal psychologist, she specializes in therapy work with adolescents and adults from Singapore, and over 25 other nationalities. The clients Bernice’s sees come from a range of different backgrounds, from students at international schools, to management executives at corporate organizations. Her specialties are in areas such as mood disorders (anxiety and depression), stress management, self-esteem, communication, adjustment and relationship issues. She is also a certified sleep clinician, trained in CBT-Insomnia, helping clients with insomnia and hypersomnia.

As every client is unique, Bernice strongly believes in tailoring her therapy approach to suit their individual needs. She prefers a collaborative approach with her clients and employs a blend of cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness and emotion-focused frameworks for therapy.

Having worked with both C-suite executives and general employees, her experience in corporate and organisational psychology has also made her an established vocational coach with a passion for helping clients with career transitions, as well as communication and motivation issues at work. She has also partnered with various organisations to help develop programs and consult on their needs on employee engagement, retention and crisis management matters, thus increasing employee wellbeing and productivity.

Work in the therapy room aside, Bernice also conducts talks, workshops, and webinars on various topics related to mental health and wellness. Audience and participants have included the general public, as well as various corporate, government-related bodies and educational institutions.

Bernice is currently also a module developer and lecturer at various educational institutions and is a registered supervisor and psychologist with the Singapore Register of Psychologists, supervising other psychologists-in-training in post-graduate programs in various universities.
